It has become increasingly obvious that 2020 presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg is disgusted and embarrassed by his association with the state of Indiana.
Amid dwindling approval numbers, this so-called ‘intellectual’ has resorted to bashing his fellow Hoosiers, painting the Midwest as an area of the country that is infested with bigots, and portraying himself as a life-long target of homophobic (implied meaning: ‘conservative’) attacks. Yes, this man with an Ivy League education who managed to become the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and is widely expected to receive massive support across the state for a gubernatorial run is the ultimate victim.
Please.
Buttigieg continued his anti-Indiana themed rhetoric this week, telling Robert Costa, a reporter for the Washington Post, that he’s prepared to deal with President Trump on the debate stage because he has a “familiarity dealing with bullies.”
“I am gay, I am from Indiana,” Buttigieg said to Costa.
When Buttigieg fails to become the democrat nominee in 2020, I’m sure he’ll pin that on us as well.
WIBC host Tony Katz spoke to the issue on Friday’s broadcast.
“You ever get the feeling that Pete Buttigieg hates this place? No one ever got bullied in Los Angeles? No one ever got bullied in New York?
…How much do you hate this state, sir? Indiana can’t handle gay people because they’re just a bunch of bullies? Just Indiana?
It’s cheap and it’s like he’s sending a signal to his supporters: ‘Yes, I’m from Indiana, but I’m not one of them.’ And it’s also why it’s hard to take him seriously as an intellectual.”
