Republican State Senator Jim Merritt secured his party’s nomination as candidate for Mayor of Indianapolis in May, pitting him against incumbent Mayor Democrat Joe Hogsett in the 2019 election.
Sen. Merritt and Mayor Hogsett are running on many of the same issues, including public safety, roads and bridges, and economic development.
