HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind.–A head on wreck in Hancock County killed a woman about 12:45 this morning. Police ID’d her as Rachel Thomas, 44. Thomas was a passenger in a Ford Focus that was hit head-on by a Mini Cooper that crossed the center line State Rd. 234, and State Rd. 9.
The driver of the Focus and two other passengers, as well as the man and women who were in the Mini Cooper, were sent to the hospital. They are expected to survive.
After the driver of the Mini Cooper, Leanna Murphy, 24, was released from the hospital, she was charged with OWI causing death.
