INDIANAPOLIS — If you’re looking for some weekend plans, downtown Indy might be a place to go if you love barbeque and blues.

The All-American Ribfest is taking place today through Sunday near the Indiana World War Memorial.

“Great food and great music, for a great cause,” says Scott Minier, an organizer for the event.

The great cause is the Indiana Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, which is a camp for kids that want to get into law enforcement, and for at-risk kids and young witnesses of crime. All the proceeds from this weekend’s Ribfest will go to the non-for-profit, says Minier.

General admission is $5, which will get you into the event and enjoy the live music. Food and drinks will cost extra. Dozens of vendors and teams will be selling their tasty barbeque, while also competing for numerous awards.
