Rapper, actress (stifles laughter), and fashion icon Cardi B. canceled her show at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis Tuesday in response to security issues that threatened the star’s safety.
The cancelation came less than an hour before the sold-out show was scheduled to begin, leaving fans of Cardi B. feeling betrayed, befuddled and bewildered. Also, they were pi**ed and wanted to know what the heck happened.
Police issued a statement, which read as follows: “This evening, there was a scheduled concert at Bankers Life. We were notified of an unverified threat to the artist and the artist canceled this evening’s concert – there is no immediate threat to public safety, this not an active incident. Ongoing investigation.”
Editor’s Note: I guess punctuation and sentence structure don’t count for much in law enforcement, but I’m down with that. First of all, they put their lives on the line every single day. Second, they had to provide security at a show for Cardi B. That alone justifies medals of valor for everyone.
Cardi B. later explained the cancelation by posting the following video to her Instagram account:

Fun Facts About Cardi B: Cardi was forced to postpone a show earlier this year in rat-infested Baltimore, but that was because of health issues from her recent plastic surgeries.
Remain Calm and Abstain from Rioting: The fine folks at Bankers Life Fieldhouse say Cardi’s show has been rescheduled for Sept. 11.
