Ah, another wildly entertaining Democratic debate occurred Thursday night in the fine city of Houston! Nothing really offers the orgasmic satisfaction of watching a gaggle of socialists tear each other down as they desperately fight for relevance in an era of economic dominance under President Donald Trump.

Fox News host Jesse Watters of “Watters’ World” and “The Five” joined the Hammer and Nigel show Friday afternoon to recap the debate.

According to Watters, Senator Amy Klobuchar had a solid night in Houston.

“She crushed Sanders and Warren on the healthcare issue,” Watters explained, adding that while Klobuchar didn’t necessarily have the look or stature to secure the Democrat nomination, “she definitely makes the most sense.”

It was also a good night for New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, according to Watters. “He smiles, he connects, he’s authentic,”  said Watters before adding, “The only problem is he treats everything like a missile crisis. He needs to downshift.”

Watters continued: “But he had a good line when he said, ‘It’s better to be rich and guilty than poor and innocent in the American criminal justice system.’”

Which candidates dropped the ball Thursday night?

“Bernie [Sanders] sounded like he smoked a pack of Camels before he went out there on the stage,” said Watters, adding “He’s so old that the only time he doesn’t have to pee is when he’s peeing.”

“[Sanders] got hit pretty hard on Venezuela,” Watters continued. “But the rhetorical, repetitive pounding from Bernie Sanders is exhausting. I can’t take it anymore.”

Asked to assess the performance of Kamala Harris, Watters was critical of the California Senator’s comments on criminal justice reform and healthcare, adding that she lacks authenticity.

“She’s a phony [and] she just tells people what they want to hear, which is easy to spot on television,” said Watters, adding that voters are “sick of her.”

Watters also weighed in on Beto O’Rourke’s apparent flip-flop on AR-15s.

“Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47. We’re not going to allow it to be used against our fellow Americans anymore,” O’Rourke said in Thursday night’s debate.

Unfortunately for big pants Beto, audio has since emerged that revealed he had a much different stance when he was running for Senate. During an interview on “The Chad Hasty Show” in April 2018, the host asked: “I own an AR-15. A lot of our listeners out there own AR-15s. Why should they not have one?”

“To be clear, they should have them,” O’Rourke responded. “If you purchased that AR-15, if you own it, keep it. Continue to use it responsibly.”

He added later in the same interview: “If you own a gun, keep that gun. Nobody wants to take it away from you — at least I don’t want to do that.”

Whoops-a-daisy!

“Yeah, he was for the Second Amendment before he was against it,” joked Watters.

He continued: “He was passionate, so you gotta give him that, but he’s a liar. He said the shooter in El Paso was inspired by Trump, he called Trump a ‘white supremacist,’ he’s calling for reparations, he said the founding of the country was when the first slave was brought over from Africa. His slogan is basically, ‘We’re going to disarm America,’ and the fact that the media thought this guy was the next JFK just shows you how dumb they are.”

Watters told Hammer and Nigel that nothing particularly new or revealing came out of the Houston debate.

“What did we learn?” joked Watters. “We learned that Biden has dentures, but then, if you were in Biden’s head, you’d probably want to leave too,” he said, adding that things have now unraveled to the point for the former Vice President that he’s only surviving by virtue of the fact that he’s “not drooling on himself.”

Watters continued: “I don’t think anybody distinguished themselves; I don’t think anybody really fell apart. It wasn’t a boring debate, but if you were looking for a knockout punch or a meltdown, I didn’t see that.”
