INDIANAPOLIS--A wreck on Rockville Rd., just west of Interstate 465, hurt at least four people and killed a dog that was being taken to the animal hospital for emergency surgery.
Capt. Mike Pruitt, of the Wayne Township Fire Dept., said several cars were involved in the 9:45 a.m., wreck. One adult and one child were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Two other adults were also taken to the hospital. Four other people were checked out, but did not need to go to the ER.
Pruitt said the couple who were taking the dog to the animal hospital were hit from behind. Firefighters took the dog to Noah’s Animal in Speedway, where it died.
