GREENFIELD, Ind. — A Greenfield man is behind bars after driving drunk and running over someone.
The Greenfield Police Department said Thursday night, Jeremy Thompson, 39, was driving a gray 2008 Pontiac G6 when he hit a pedestrian walking near the intersection of East McKenzie Road and North Brandywine Street.
The pedestrian was identified as Kathy Davis, 71. She was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis in critical condition.
Thompson was arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Causing Catastrophic Injury.
The Greenfield Police Department is still investigating.
