It’s a liberal lovers lash out quarrel, as two of the lowest-rated 2020 candidates for President turn on each other over the issue of gun violence!
In this corner, Beto O’Rourke: former Congressman, failed Senate candidate, and multiple DUI offender.
In this corner, Pete Boot-Edge-Edge: South Bend Mayor, Christian who consistently twists and perverts Biblical scripture to suit his agenda, and well-established polyglot (Relax, it means he speaks multiple languages).
“Alright boys, keep it clean, fight to the death, and then keep on fighting some more! The people came out here tonight to see a good old-fashioned tickle match between two liberals who never learned how to throw a punch, so let’s give ’em a good show, alright?”
Beto and Buttigieg Battle Background:
Beto O’Rourke sharply criticized Pete Buttigieg this week after the South Bend, Indiana, Mayor called O’Rourke’s push for mandatory buy-backs of assault-style rifles a “shiny object.”
Bun-chapped O’Rourke characterized Buttigieg’s position as driven by political calculation – a practice with which big pants Beto is well acquainted.
“I was really offended by those comments,” O’Rourke whined to reporters following a gun control policy forum in Las Vegas on Wednesday. “And I think he represents a kind of politics that is focused on poll-testing and focus-group-driving and triangulating and listening to consultants, before you arrive at a position.”
Despite O’Rourke’s criticisms, Mayor Buttigieg is standing his ground and actively pushing for other gun reforms to limit American’s Constitutional rights.
Speaking on the matter of mandatory buybacks, Buttigieg noted that “as a policy, it’s had mixed results. It’s a healthy debate to have, but we’ve got to do something now.”
It’s a shame to see O’Rourke and Buttigieg at odds. In the end, however, the best course of action is for the two of them to work out their differences quickly and without any further unnecessary drama. Therefore, we propose the two candidates for President settle things with an old-fashioned western gun duel. It’s really the only sensible thing to do.
