WOODBURN, Ind. — Human remains were discovered Monday in some woods outside the town of Woodburn in Allen County.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office said people walking along Doehrman Road found them.

WANE-TV says the remains are “skeletonized,” meaning that all that is left of the person are bones.

The coroner’s office said in a press release that “there is no speculation as to the identity of the remains, how long they have been in this location, or the cause and manner of death.”

The University of Indianapolis Anthropology Department is assisting with the investigation.
