South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar have portrayed themselves as the ‘moderates’ in the 2020 race for president, but WIBC host Tony Katz isn’t buying it. According to Katz, just because a candidate doesn’t scream like Senator Bernie Sanders doesn’t mean he or she is any less radical.

Katz:

“There is no difference between Buttigieg and Klobuchar’s policies and the policies of the radical left. The difference is ‘speed’ – how quickly those policies usher us into full-blown socialism. What does it matter? You’re still getting to the same place.

And it is fundamentally incorrect to assert that somehow the idea of what it means to be a moderate has changed; it has not.

What has changed is where the media and others reset the goalposts.

‘You mean if I don’t believe in government-run healthcare, I’m some kind of wacko, psychotic, radical on the political right? Government-run healthcare is now the moderate position?’

Ten plus years ago, the most radical position in the world was Obamacare. Now that’s a moderate position? It’s not a moderate position; it’s a lie.

Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg favor this so-called ‘moderate approach’ to healthcare. It’s not moderate, so why do we call it so?”
