FISHERS, Ind. — The man that died in a crash on I-69 in Fishers on Sunday afternoon has been identified.
Sgt. Tom Weger from the Fishers Police Department says 66-year-old William Womack of Indianapolis was the driver of the van that crashed into a construction truck. Womack was pronounced dead at the scene.
The construction workers — Heath Franklin and Isaiah Newsome, both of Bloomington — were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police say both vehicles were driving south on I-69 near Exit 204 when they collided.
The interstate was shut down for nearly three hours on Sunday.
The crash investigation is ongoing.
