“Why do you NEED an AR-15?”
“Are you going to go hunting with an AR-15?”
“Guns are for cowards! I use my fists like a man!”
And so go the words of the brilliantly bold, yet disturbingly uninformed advocates of banning ‘super scary’ AR-15-style rifles.
Dateline Florida, ‘Heaven’s Waiting Room’:
A pregnant woman saved her life and the lives of her family by using an AR-15 rifle on two men who broke into the family’s home on Wednesday night.
Two masked intruders broke into the Lithia, Florida home close to 9pm on Wednesday. One of the men grabbed the couple’s 11-year-old daughter before both men violently attacked her father, Jeremy King, who was pistol-whipped and kicked in the head several times.
“As soon as they had got the back door opened, they had a pistol on me and was grabbing my 11-year-old daughter,” King told a local media outlet.
King’s eight-months pregnant wife peeked out of the back bedroom during the incident, at which point one of the intruders shot at her. The woman then retrieved an AR-15 and shot at the intruder, clipping him, but sadly, not instantly killing him.
Authorities found the body of a man in a ditch nearby the house. King meanwhile said he has a fractured eye socket, fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in his head.
“Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it,” King said, adding that his wife had “evened the playing field and kept them from killing me.”
Dear advocates of banning AR-15s: Please take this moment as an opportunity to seal your mouth on matters of semi-automatic rifles forevermore.
