INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Public Schools says it will cancel classes on Tuesday, November 19, to support its teachers attending “Red for Ed Action Day” in Indianapolis.

Nearly 20 other school districts around the state, including Evansville and South Bend, have already announced they are doing the same thing.

Hundreds of Hoosier teachers plan on going to the statehouse that day to advocate for better funding. The Indiana State Teachers Association is encouraging all teachers to flood the statehouse for the rally.
