EVANSVILLE, Ind. — An Evansville man is behind bars after stealing nearly $67,000 worth of diamonds from a business he used to work for.
After a two-month investigation, Indiana State Police arrested 27-year-old Aaron Haire on Friday morning.
They say Haire had more than $29,000 worth of diamonds, rings, earrings and bracelets — that belonged to Kruckemeyer & Cohn — in a safe at his home. Investigators say in 2018, Haire also sold more than 30 diamonds, valued at $37,500, to an out-of-state online auction company.
Haire faces 27 counts of theft.
