STATEWIDE — Breakstone’s Cottage Cheese is the subject of a new food recall.

Kraft Heinz, which owns Breakstone’s, is recalling 9,500 cases of Breakstone’s because there could be metal or red plastic mixed in with the cottage cheese, according to the FDA.

At least six people have complained so far, but there have been no injuries.

The recall includes the following products:

  • 16-ounce Breakstone’s 2{a19b272382e43567b93d81f78cecbca1de1bd20e733811fd76565cd2f1d1cf89} Milkfat Large Curd Cottage Cheese
  • 24-ounce Breakstone’s 4{a19b272382e43567b93d81f78cecbca1de1bd20e733811fd76565cd2f1d1cf89} Milkfat Large Curd Cottage Cheese
  • 24-ounce Breakstone’s 4{a19b272382e43567b93d81f78cecbca1de1bd20e733811fd76565cd2f1d1cf89} Milkfat Small Curd Cottage Cheese

All recalled products have a best-by date of Dec. 10, 2019.

If you have any of the recalled products, don’t eat it. You can return it to the store for a full refund.
