Northeast Indy Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Critical

INDIANAPOLIS — A shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis left one person dead and another in critical condition Sunday night.
Around 7:09 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at a gas station on the 10000 block of East 42nd Street. Soon after, additional calls came in about another shooting on nearby Ellis Drive. When police arrived at both locations, they found two young males with gunshot wounds.
Both victims were rushed to Riley Hospital, but one was later pronounced dead. The other remains in critical condition.
IMPD believes two groups had a conversation at the gas station that escalated into a disturbance, leading to the shooting.
