ATLANTA — Former President Jimmy Carter will be spending Thanksgiving at home in Plains, Georgia.
Carter was released from Emory University Hospital this morning.
The Carter Center said in a statement that the 95-year-old former president and his wife are grateful for all the prayers, cards, and notes they have received.
Carter underwent surgery to relieve pressure on his brain caused by a head injury sustained in a fall.
