House Democrats unveiled two articles of impeachment against President Trump Tuesday morning, alleging abuse of power and obstruction of Congress regarding his interactions with Ukraine.

Tuesday’s action is expected to result in a floor vote in a matter of days, according to analysts at Fox News.

“The framers of the Constitution prescribed a clear remedy for presidents who so violate their oath of office,” said House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y. “No one, not even the president, is above the law.”

The White House responded by accusing Democrats of using the Ukraine issue as an excuse for “this partisan, gratuitous, and pathetic attempt to overthrow the Trump Administration and the results of the 2016 election.”

WIBC host Tony Katz commented on the developments Tuesday morning:

“Support for impeachment among voters is not even at 50{342d4ff9325a28dcb7f2c75b24c2a469a7c28c0aebd22d83bf56550a2655925a}. And it’s not that people who voted for Trump don’t like him – they NEVER liked him, but they like what he’s done for the economy and they don’t like the idea of Democrats trying to invalidate and overturn their vote.

You know what Americans care most about? Unemployment, wages, border security, bringing troops home, healthcare costs and access. They care about the USMCA, which Nancy Pelosi refuses to bring to the floor for a vote because it’s a ‘win’ for President Trump.”
