INDIANAPOLIS- A coffee shop in Indianapolis is opening up its doors to those who want some company on Christmas.

Last year, Neidhammer Coffee Co gave out free coffee, doughnuts, and hugs to anyone who walked in the door. The owners were inspired after they saw a sign last year on Facebook of a coffee shop in London offering a similar thing.

The Indy-based coffee company said they had over 150 visitors on Christmas last year.

“We met seniors, college students, empty nesters, homeless folks and single parents that didn’t have their children,” Neidhammer said in their press release. “Loneliness can affect everyone, and we feel that no one should be alone on Christmas Day!”

Neidhammer Coffee Co. will be open noon to 3 pm Christmas day with free coffee, doughnuts, and hugs for all. They are located at 2104 East Washington Street
