A new survey of 2,000 Americans has uncovered house guests’ most annoying habits when staying with their host, and with Christmas just around the corner, chances are pretty good that more than a few families will be dealing with these common annoyances.
Conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Mattress Firm, the study found that being too loud, smoking and leaving a mess all top the list of things to avoid doing as a guest in someone’s home, while coming back intoxicated, being too demanding with the host, bringing an extra guest without warning and eating food in the house without asking first also scored high.
60 percent of Americans surveyed claim they’ll be staying with family over the holidays, so there’s bound to be quite a few folks out there this Christmas who are moments from losing their s*** over inconsiderate house guests.
Fun Fact: People get sick of family after about four hours during the holiday, according to the survey.
