ROCKFORD, Ind.- A man has been sentenced in federal court to 15 months in prison for aiming a laser pointer beam at an aircraft.
Brenton Wells, 45, from Rockford, admitted to deliberately aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft flying over his backyard. He said he continued to point the laser at the plane for a period of time. He pled guilty to the charge on August 20th, 2019.
The man will now face 15 months in prison.
