Fox News and Fox Nation personality Tomi Lahren says Democrats are pursuing a doomed effort to removed President Donald Trump from office because the flawed strategy is their only option heading into the 2020 election year.
“I think they already understand it’s a given that [Trump] is going to be re-elected,” Lahren told WIBC’s Hammer and Nigel, “so they’re going to continue the witch hunts into 2020 and then for four years after that. This is the only thing they have; their candidates are horrible; and they’re going to ride this wave despite the fact that it is going to be a disaster for them.”
Debate on the House floor carried on for several hours Wednesday in advance of tonight’s impeachment vote, as Democrats feigned sorrow and sadness over the “regrettable action” that Speaker Pelosi previously claimed is “necessary to protect the integrity of the United States Constitution.”
Lahren told Hammer and Nigel she recommends Nancy Pelosi take a walk around her district in San Francisco if she wants to have a genuinely somber day.
“If [Pelosi] want to cry about something, go back to the place that you’re supposed to represent, because it is in shambles,” said Lahren. “Just be careful not to step in any feces or on any needles along the way, Nance.”
She continued: “[Democrats] are wearing black because their souls are black, and they think that this country is failing because [Democrats] are failing. They are that self-indulgent; they are that full of themselves; they hate Donald Trump that much that even though the country is doing really well, all they are is focused on their little beltway swamp and the fact that they’re failing miserably, and so they want to project that failure on the country. Sorry, we’re doing pretty well.”
Meanwhile, the remaining pool of 2020 Democratic presidential hopefuls are preparing to square off in their sixth debate Thursday night in Los Angeles. Lahren told Hammer and Nigel that voters are unlikely to learn anything new from the candidates at this point.
“It’s Medicare-for-all; it’s raising taxes; it’s opening the borders. This is what they’re running on and this is what we’re going to hear,” said Lahren, adding, “and no one cares about the debate tomorrow night.”
She continued: “[Democratic candidates] are completely irrelevant. They are running to replace Donald Trump, and they still can’t get any attention. I also feel bad for them that they’re not getting more attention from the public and the media to discuss their Socialist views.”
Lahren also delved into the issue of illegal crossings and apprehensions along the Southern border with Hammer and Nigel, which have dropped dramatically in recent months.
