INDIANAPOLIS — A suspect has been charged in the murder of a 17-year-old boy from Indianapolis.
Leandre “Dre” Lane was shot and killed April 7 while walking to join a friend to play basketball.
Prosecutors Thursday charged Dwayne Harris with Lane’s murder.
Investigators say a car pulled up to Lane and Harris got out and fired a gun. Lane died before he could be taken to a hospital.
Harris is also charged with robbery and carrying a handgun as a prior felon.
A court date has not been announced.
