LEBANON, Ind. — A Lebanon man has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the 2017 murder of 73-year-old Max Foster and the attempted murder of his wife, Sonja Foster. 

Zachariah Wright, 22, was sentenced Friday. 

According to the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office, on June 18, 2017, Wright robbed two homes before breaking into the Fosters’ home as they slept. Wright then attacked and stabbed Max Foster to death. Wright also assaulted and injured Sonja Foster, but she managed to escape the attack.
