INDIANAPOLIS–Ken Starr, the independent counsel who investigated Pres. Bill Clinton’s sexual relationships, has been added to Pres. Trump’s defense team. Starr visited Indianapolis, Monday, May 20, and spoke about impeachment to the Federalist Society, described by IndyPolitics as a mostly conservative-leaning group of attorneys.

He said impeachment “is simply so bad for the country unless there’s a national consensus. Not everyone agrees, but a substantial bi-partisan consensus.”

Starr said impeachment is a needless injury to the Republic “and further simply sewing seeds of discord and division”.

Also joining the team, Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, known for his work on the O.J. Simpson defense team., and attorney Robert Ray, a Whitewater investigator.
