INDIANAPOLIS–When Our Savior Lutheran Church caught on fire over a year ago, church leaders there were not sure if they would recover. But thanks to hard work and repairs, the church is back open.

The fire caused more than a million dollars in damage.

The church had services Sunday.

“It’s an emotional thing,” church member Tillie Mason said. “It’s good to be back home. We’ve been away for 18 months and it’s been a struggle, some ups, and downs, but we’re here. God is good.”

Our Savior Lutheran Church is located on West 25th street, which is on the north side of Indianapolis. The church recently celebrated it’s 80th anniversary.
