Cicero Captain on Leave After Patrol Car Crash

CICERO, Ind –A Cicero police captain is on administrative leave following a crash involving a patrol car on Dec. 25.
Hamilton County deputies responded to the 9900 block of East 206th Street and found a damaged Cicero Police Department Ford Explorer with its hazard lights flashing. The driver had left the scene before deputies arrived.
The Cicero Police Department confirmed that Captain Ed Hodson was placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues. “This matter is under investigation,” the department said in a statement.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has submitted the case to the prosecutor, which will decide on potential charges.
