WASHINGTON — One of your members of Congress says she is not getting involved in the leadership of her own party for now.

Congresswoman Victoria Spartz posted a thread on X on Monday, in which she explained that she “will stay as a registered Republican but will not sit on committees or participate in the caucus.”

Spartz says she wants to see progress towards Republicans “governing.” She added that she plans to spend her extra time helping the newly created Department of Government Efficiency or ‘DOGE’.

She and a handful of lawmakers want DOGE objectives written into the process of passing bills.
