Person Hit By Car on Indy’s Southeast Side

INDIANAPOLIS–A person was hit by a car on the southeast side of Indianapolis Wednesday morning.
IMPD says they went to check on someone just before 6 am in the 1200 block of South Arlington Avenue. That’s in a neighborhood between Brookville Road and Raymond Street.
When they arrived, they say they found a person who was seriously hurt. That person was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
“The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene and is being cooperative with the investigation,” said an IMPD spokesperson at the scene.
Streets in the area were initially blocked off at the time, but they are now open for normal traffic.
