PARKE COUNTY, Ind. — Police say an 83-year-old man is alive after the plane he was flying crashed Wednesday, not far from Turkey Run State Park.

The man was apparently going from Chicago to Kentucky in a Cessna 170A, when he went down in a field near County Road 200 East and Warrior Road. At this time, it is not clear what led to the crash.

Thankfully, his injuries did not seem to be severe. Officers explained that he only had “scrapes.”

This crash comes just one day after 82-year-old David Province died in a crash in Henry County. And, another plane crash may have killed four people in Anderson last week.
