Despite all of her success she is best known for how she helped create equality between men and women’s tennis. There was a large pay gap between the two, and Billie Jean King fronted a movement to change that.
But now, equal opportunity is not enough.
Equal opportunity is what led to her being a tennis champion. Equal opportunity is what makes the United States of America the best country in the world. The fact that your gender, race, or any other thing that makes you different does not matter.
She is missing the point and violated the very thing she fought for all those years ago.
