MUNCIE — A woman has died after smoking in bed led to a fire.
76-year-old Carolyn Fisher faced the apartment fire on South Madison Avenue Thursday morning. After trying to put out the fire herself, she was rescued and taken to the hospital, where she later died.
WISH TV reports that the fire has been ruled an accident. Her autopsy could reveal more in the near future.
