INDIANAPOLIS — One person was found dead outside a home Thanksgiving morning on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

IMPD officers were told that a person was on the side of the road near 3400 North Leland Avenue.  That’s near the 34th street and Emerson Avenue intersection.

There, they found an unresponsive male who had been shot.  Indy’s Emergency Medical Services arrived, but he was pronounced dead.  Police think he was a teenager who had been shot overnight.

Detectives are now investigating.  The Marion County Coroner’s Office will provide more information about the boy and his death in the near future.

If you know anything about this, please call the IMPD Homicide Office or contact Crime Stoppers.
