AVON, Ind. — A man has been charged in the Wednesday shooting of a grandmother and granddaughter.
Avon Police got a call about a shooting at a home on Glensford Drive around 12:45 Wednesday near Rockville Road. A four-year-old girl and her grandmother were found shot. They were taken to the hospital, and are expected to recover from their injuries, according to an update from Avon police.
Police say 25-year-old Brandon Clark was at the scene when they arrived and cooperated with detectives. According to Avon police, the grandmother that was shot is Clark’s mother, and the 4-year-old girl is Clark’s niece.
He was taken in for questioning, and later charged with criminal recklessness while armed with a deadly weapon.
He’s in the Hendricks County Jail with a $500 cash bond.
