INDIANAPOLIS — The Marion County Coroner’s Office has announced deaths in a crash during a police chase over the weekend, one of the deaths being a 12-year-old girl.

The crash happened late Saturday morning on I-465. IMPD was chasing a suspect, Cory Lemasters, who was wanted for multiple warrants including ones related to methamphetamine and being a felon with a firearm.

Lemasters took his SUV off of Rockville Road and onto I-465 in the wrong direction. Police called off the chase from the danger, that’s when Lemasters crashed when he tried to get off of the interstate.

He crashed head-on into a car, which killed the other driver at the scene.

The accident sent three other passengers to the hospital in critical condition, two of them were minors. Lemasters also suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Monday, the county coroner’s office announced that one of the children in the hospital, 12-year-old Georgia Tetmeyer, and Lemasters has died.

The office also released the name of the driver that was killed in the accident, who was the girl’s father, 40-year-old William Tetmeyer.

They have not given an update on the condition of the others injured. IMPD is still investigating the crash.
