Listen Live

We’re just four sleeps away from the long awaited return of Colts football into our lives.

New QB under center, a receiving core looking to prove itself (outside of Michael Pittman Jr. who has proven himself plenty), a defense with a fresh scheme, and arguably the best running back in football ready to tear it up.

The storylines and anticipation is endless when it comes to the Colts going into the season opener.

We can’t forget in all of that, however, the Houston Texans as a legitimate opponent. Yes it’s every given Sunday and all that chatter, but also this is a Texans team with a ton of high praise coming their way (especially towards the quarterback position).

Whether that means a Davis Mills breakout is a lock starting in Week 1 or if it’s all offseason hype will be answered on Sunday. Still, if the Colts go into Houston thinking the Texans will roll over for them, they may find their season opener losing streak extended to 10 games.

At least, that’s what The Dan Dakich Show learned from our weekly chat with Sean Salisbury. Sean gave us the ins and outs of the Texans and why he feels they are not to be taken as push overs.

Plus, Sean spoke to us about:

  • the expectations for the Texans in 2022
  • why he feels Davis Mills shows strong promise at QB
  • what he thinks of Texans rookie RB Dameon Pierce
  • how he sees the AFC South shaping up this season
