It was another fun filled, fan engaged, productive and entertaining five weeks out at Colts Camp in Grand Park. Every year it feels like once camp starts you dig in and blink, and then all of a sudden Week 1 of the regular season is on the horizon.

Barring any further injuries in the preseason finale  against the Bucs *knocks on wood*, the Colts will have made it through with only two brutal injuries; the loss of punter Rigoberto Sanchez due to a torn Achilles, and the loss of rookie tight end Andrew Ogletree due to a torn ACL.

The Colts have done their best to address the loses, but only once we’re into the grind of the regular season will we know their true impact.

Otherwise, aside from the question marks on when Shaquille Leonard will be activated off the PUP, the Colts are good shape heading into the 2022 campaign.

For final observations from Colts Camp, as well as a preview of the preseason finale against Tampa Bay, The Dan Dakich Show turned to the Voice of the Colts Matt Taylor.

Over the course of our chat with May Tay he spoke on:

  • his major takeaways over the course of Colts Camp
  • what he’s looking for in the Colts final preseason game
  • how he felt joint practices went last week with the Lions
  • where expectations are for this group in 2022

Listen to the full conversation with Colts play by play voice Matt Taylor below and don’t miss The Dan Dakich Show, weekdays 12-3pm on 93.5 and 107.5 The Fan.
