There is a big hole for Colts tight end Mo Alie-Cox to fill as he replaces the now retired tight end Jack Doyle in 2022. The Colts offense has seen major changes and upgrades throughout the offseason, (Matt Ryan under center, Nyhiem Hines more in the passing game, the addition of rookie Alec Pierce etc.), but it’s easy to argue that the larger role for Alie-Cox will be one of the most critical storylines all year.

Wednesday on The Dan Dakich Show the fifth year man out of VCU stopped by at Grand Park to take us through the growth he’s seen from the offense to this point in training camp.

Alie-Cox also talked with us on:

  • how the rookies and younger receivers are adjusting and performing
  • what he hopes to achieve with Matt Ryan this season
  • his basketball playing days at VCU and how the court helped shape him for the gridiron
  • what he feels this team can do in 2022
  • how joint practice with the Detroit Lions has gone
