ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.--New evidence shows that the SUV in which Congresswoman Jackie Walorski was a passenger, is the one that crossed the center line and hit another car head-on Wednesday, killing all four people on a rural highway in Elkhart County.

The reason is still not clear to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Dept., investigating the wreck on State Road 19.

The Toyota RAV was driver by Zachary Potts, of Mishawaka, who was an assistant to Walorski and had a role in the state Republican Party.

Evidence pointing to that SUV crossing the line rather than the Buick driven by Edith Schmucker, as was originally thought, comes from video and eyewitnesses.

Schmucker also died in the wreck, along with Walorski’s press secretary Emma Thompson.
