The Indianapolis Colts are making their mark at Grand Park in Westfield and General Manager Chris Ballard is hoping to make a mark this season with the additions of Matt Ryan, Stephon Gilmore, Yannick Ngakoue and his rookie draft class.  On Monday’s edition of Kevin & Query, Ballard joined Kevin Bowen and Jake Query to give some insight at what he’s seen to this point, if he feels any heat from ownership or the fan base to produce results and if he believes they are done adding any major pieces to the roster.

We’re obsessed with depth and I don’t ever feel good, that’s why you see so many transactions ever during the season.  That keeps me up at night. – Chris Ballard on what his mental hurdle is every season

When it comes to outside noise, he’s heard the “hot seat” talk, but isn’t sweating it.

If you start worrying about that, you can’t do your job.  We’ve had a starting quarterback every season and we’ve stayed relevant.  My pressure comes from thinking I’m letting the city or organization done when I think we aren’t getting the job done. – Chris Ballard on hearing the “hot seat” discussion

The guys also asked Ballard his thoughts on the toughest position to evaluate in camp, the possibility of T.Y. Hilton returning to the team, the excitement he has about Matt Ryan, what his goals for the season would be and a whole lot more.  To listen to the interview, click the link below and be sure to listen to Kevin & Query every weekday morning from 7-10 on 93.5 & 107.5 The Fan!
