Distinguished Dunkin’ employee and TikTok user Sahmir is a fellow who truly appreciates the generosity of altruistic donut-munchers who visit the drive-through of the fantastic donut establishment where he works.

Several times per day, says Samir, a benevolent customer will zip by in their four-door family sedan, purchase some fabulous fried dough delights for themselves, and pony up a few extra dollars to buy coffee and donuts for the car in line behind them.

The practice is known as “paying it forward,” and it’s boosted Samir’s take-home pay quite significantly.

Yes, stellar Dunkin’ employee Samir says he actually pockets customers’ well-intentioned “pay it forward” money as a tip. The pride of Dunkin’ even shared a seven-second clip of himself on TikTok demonstrating his unique business concept in action.

“I wish I was joking,” Samir proudly captioned the clip.

@ssahmirri wish i was joking 😹

Oh sure, there were the usual critics who called the practice ‘unethical.’ Probably all a bunch of boomers, amirite? But those folks will die off eventually. In their place stands a new generation – a generation who thinks Samir’s actions are totally justified because “Dunkin’ workers should make more money.”

Yes, the young people of today don’t buy into that old fogy Biblical principles stuff. They have their own moral code. It’s a code that declares with pride:

“I took out the college loan, but you’ll pay it back.”

“It’s fine to loot and destroy local businesses. They have insurance.”

“Working from home is a human right!”

So keep giving, charitable Dunkin’ diners! Pay it forward! Give all you have. Samir’s got a luxury apartment, a new BMW, and a girlfriend with expensive taste. That kind of lifestyle doesn’t pay for itself, boomer.
