President Biden has sold approximately one million barrels from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve to a Chinese state-controlled gas giant that continues to purchase Russian oil.

A total of five million barrels of oil were released from the US emergency reserves to Europe in an attempt to soften what Biden refers to as “Putin’s price hike.” Of that shipment, 950,000 barrels were sent to Unipec/Sinopec, which is owned by the Chinese government.

The Energy Department backs the Biden Administration’s sale as they believe it will actually “support American consumers.” However, the conflict of sending oil to Unipec goes deeper than it being Chinese-owned as it’s been revealed to have ties with Hunter Biden.

Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, bought close to a $2 billion stake in Sinopece Marketing through his private equity firm in 2015. According to The Washington Free Beacon, “Sinopec went on to enter negotiations to purchase Gazprom in March, one month after the Biden administration sanctioned the Russian gas giant.” Unipec has continued to purchase Russian oil during the Ukraine war.

Even though gas prices have soared record high this summer, the Biden team assures Americans that the economy is stronger than ever. Just last week Biden was asked when gas prices would start to drop and he stated “As long as it takes, so Russia cannot, in fact, defeat Ukraine and move beyond Ukraine.”
