INDIANAPOLIS-One person was killed and at least six others were injured in various acts of violence that happened across Indianapolis Saturday night.

At around 11 pm, IMPD heard about a shooting that happened on Gateway Court, which is just north of 38th street on the east side. Two people were found shot, but they survived and are being treated for their injuries.

At approximately 10:30 PM, IMPD said a person walked into Eskenazi Hospital with a gunshot wound. That person is reported to be “awake and breathing.”

At about 10 PM, police say a person was stabbed in the Bottleworks District in downtown Indianapolis. They believe that happened as a result of an argument. Officers have taken one person into custody in that incident, but they say the investigation is far from over.

At around 9 pm, a person was found shot on E. 34th St., which is between N. Sherman Dr. and Emerson Avenue on the east side. Police say that victim was taken to a hospital, but did not survive.

At about 8 pm, police were told about a person showing up to Community Hospital East on N. Ritter Ave. with a gunshot wound. That person is alive.

On Saturday afternoon, someone was shot on the northwest side. That person is recovering at a hospital.
