OHIO COUNTY, Ky. — A missing child from Indiana was found in Kentucky.
Police in Ohio County, Kentucky received a tip back on June 11th about a missing child from Indiana in a semi-truck with a man named Joseph Lewis, reports WEHT. Lewis and the girl were found at Perdue Farms in Cromwell on US Highway 231 South.
Investigators learned that Lewis had driven the child across state lines without her parent’s consent. Interviews with both Lewis and the girl revealed the two had engaged in some sexual acts. Lewis was arrested and taken to the Ohio County Jail. Ohio County police had help from Kentucky State Police and the Dugger, Indiana Police Department.
Joseph Lewis has been charged with kidnapping a minor, rape and sodomy.
