INDIANAPOLIS — An arrest has been made in a hit-and-run last Wednesday that killed a young woman on a bicycle on Indy’s south side.
Investigators say it was the victim herself who cracked the case. Police found Kayla Bowling badly injured near her bike in a driveway on Rural Street.
She was able to provide the license number of the vehicle that hit her, but she died a short time later at Eskenazi Hospital.
After tracking that license number, police arrested Kyle Rigdon on a preliminary charge of leaving the scene of an accident causing death.
