INDIANAPOLIS – A woman was shot and killed at an apartment complex on the south side of Indianapolis Thursday morning.
IMPD was called to the scene just after 3 a.m. to an apartment on Laurel Street at the Laurelwood Apartments near Shelby Street and Troy Avenue. Officers say a woman at the complex had been shot. She died before she could be taken to a hospital.
Multiple juveniles were found inside the home, and a gun was found as well. There were no signs of forced entry into the home and no sign of a struggle, according to police.
Detectives say they are treating the shooting as a death investigation, not a homicide.
