(Laguna Woods, CA) — Police have identified the suspect in Sunday’s shooting at a church in a retirement community of Laguna Woods, California.
68-year-old David Chou of Las Vegas, Nevada has been booked on suspicion of one count of murder and five counts of attempted murder. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department says he’s being held on one-million dollars bail.
The shooting, which took place during a brunch after a worship service at a Taiwanese church in Orange County left one person dead and five people critically injured. The ages of the victims range from 66 to 92 years. Congregants tackled the shooter and hogtied him with an extension cord until police arrived to take him into custody. Two handguns were recovered at the scene.
