INDIANAPOLIS – A former couple is facing decades in federal prison after they were sentenced Monday for conspiring with Jared Fogle to sexually exploit children.

Russell Taylor, 50, of Indianapolis, and his ex-wife, Angela Taylor (now known as Angela Baldwin), 40, of Connersville, were sentenced after an investigation connected them to Fogle and the distribution of child pornography.

The investigation began in 2014 when someone who knew Taylor and Baldwin contacted Indiana State Police saying that Taylor had offered to send her child pornography.

According to court documents, between 2011 and 2015, Taylor and Baldwin worked together with others, including Fogle, to produce, possess, and distribute child pornography. Taylor and Baldwin set up hidden cameras in their house to secretly record children fully nude and engage in sexual activity. Taylor and Baldwin were also sending sexually explicit images and videos to other people, including Fogle.

Taylor, who pled guilty in June 2021 to multiple offenses, including 24 counts of producing child pornography, was sentenced to 27 years in federal prison.

Baldwin, who was convicted by a jury in October 2021 on multiple charges related to child pornography, was sentenced to more than 30 years in federal prison.

“The Taylors have finally been held accountable for their years of heinous sexual exploitation of children,” said U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Myers. “Child sexual abusers must be held accountable for the lifelong impact of these crimes on survivors and their families.”
