INDIANAPOLIS – An Indianapolis truck driver has been sentenced to federal prison for sexually exploiting a child. Gerald Hoye, 43, of Indianapolis will serve 30 years after pleading guilty.
According to court documents, agents with the U.S. Secret Service received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCEMC) that sexually explicit images of a child had been sent from the victim’s Facebook account to Hoye’s account. The NCMEC also found sexually explicit conversations between Hoye and the child through Facebook Messenger.
Police say the victim lived in another state and was under 16-years-old. Hoye manipulated the child by offering her money in exchange for sexually explicit photos and videos.
In September 2019, Hoye traveled to her home and took her to another state, where he engaged in illegal sexual conduct with the victim.
